The show aired on October 11,2012 10PM Central Time on FX. Check your schedules to see when it's on in your area. I don't think you will be disappointed to watch it.

We had a simple little get together to watch the show. My son & friend, my daughter & hubby and me. We got the kids to bed before the show.
Everyone came over at about 8:00 so we could all watch the Vice Presidential Debate together before #BrandX. I figured the debacle of the debate would get everyone in the mood for some more funny stuff. And let me tell you, Joe Biden did not disappoint.
All three of these screen shots were taken at a time that Congressman Paul Ryan was talking about the murder of our Ambassador to Libya and his aides and the terrorist attack. What the heck is Biden making merry and laughing about. It's not funny. I call this one the Comedy of Errors. Biden spent the night giving out incorrect information about everything from the terrorist attack to abortion. Shame shame shame. But it did give us a good segue into the crazy world of Russell Brand.
We used this debate to play a little game (similar to what Brand does on his shows) I asked, "if the candidates and the moderator were all food items, which ones would they be?" We got some dandy answers... Biden would be a lemon from some of the sour and weird faces he made all throughout the debate.
BrandX was a pretty good show. Russell had a guest, Ryan Hurst who played Opie in Sons of Anarchy. I have to admit, I did not see that show and didn't know much about Ryan, so some of that humor was lost on me.
There was an schtick about Russell doing Community Service for his "crimes". He decided to help people in the audience. He chose Shayne Emmert (I learned his name because he commented on a comment I made on the shows website) who said he had no self confidence. The first question Brand asks Shayne is "do you love your job" and there is a very long pregnant pause while Emmert is apparently trying not to say he hated it, but Brand jumps in and says "what are you, an assassin?" He really thinks quick on his feet and comes out with some outrageous stuff.

Shayne Emmert and Russell Brand.
Typical Russell Brand kind of humor..
All in all it was a pretty funny show. The sad part is it is only on for 1/2 hour. I would have like to watch for a full hour.
I just had to add this little photo of mine. #Crowdtap challenged me to create a Doppleganger of Russell Brand using myself as the Doppelganger.
So, here is a befoe photo of me, just so you know what I had to work with before the big transition.
I bought just a few very inexpensive supplies. I found a headband with some long dark hair for $1.00 at Dollar Tree and also a small packet of black and gray make up there for $1.00. I had all the rest of the stuff at home already, so this was a relatively inexpensive make over.
Okay....now.......get ready to see my Doppleganger of Russell Brand from #BrandX on FX.
Oh no! The evil pumpkin is in my way..what shall I do? I will never be
Russell Brand's stunt double, but I had lots of fun trying to look like
him. I went through hundreds of photos trying to mimic his funny faces.
Apparently you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, but for a few
$$ I made myself into Russell Brand from #BrandX and #Crowdtap.
