TOO HOT TO HANDLE...so am I crazy?

Okay, so have you ever had one chore blossom into an event? I was going to hot glue a kid's bracelet back together, so I took my soda into the kitchen and plugged in the glue gun, and saw a tomato on my counter.

So I thought while I was waiting for the glue gun to get hot, I would put a little water on my tomatoes. While turning on the water outside, I noticed that my hydrangea was wilting, so I undid the hose and watered it first.

My Hydragea already looks so much better. It enjoyed it's drink of water.

But as I was walking past my front garden I noticed that my Mexican Petunia was a little wilted and chewed on, so while the water was flowing on the hydrangea, I ran to the garage and got the Sevin dust. Sprinkled all the flowers and veggies. Moved the hose from the hydrangea to the petunia.
My poor little Mexican Petunias are so hot and thirsty they don't even have any pretty purple blooms on them. Hope the drink fixes them.

And then I  noticed that the shrubs were a bit overgrown, so while the petunia got water I used the electric hedge trimmer to reshape the hedges.
Aha... they look so much better with a haircut.
Cleaned up the big mess and went to turn off the water. Now I noticed that the hydrangea was hanging low to the ground so I got the tree trimmers and cut the bottom branches off of that. Then I felt a little itchy.. uh oh... I know that feeling... stupid CHIGGERS.
See those nasty little red blood suckers. They squirt juice into the flesh that makes it liquid and it itches.
CHIGGER BITES... the itchiest bites you can get. They itch for days and usually ooze and scab over.
Stopped everything, went inside and took a bath.
NO..you are not going to see a photo of me in tub..phew!

Then I went back to the kitchen for my soda and remembered THE GLUE GUN!!!!...LOL..

I fixed the bracelet. Now you can see why it was soooo important to fix. This is Carly's gift from Niagara Falls and she was in tears over it. I hope she appreciates all I did to fix it..LOL.

That's one chore done for the day. OH..did I mention it is 105 degrees outside...oh yay!
Okay.. so here is one I will post of me. It was 1969 and 105 degrees. We were at Little Rock Air Force Base and were on the tarmac (can we say 110 degrees) watching the Blue Angels. There were women all around me who were passing out. But not me.. I'm a tough Polish/Irish momma.
See the Blue Angels all lined up behind me? I have old movies of the flight that day.
